ToadShow designed the 400-page Redesigning the secondary-tertiary interface report by the Australian Council for Education Research (ACER) released in October 2014. The report outlines the future of Queensland's higher education system and recommends an overhaul of senior school assessment and university entrance.
The ToadShow team worked with the report's lead writer to develop the final design and feel ahead of time so text could be quickly laid out when ready. The report was typeset using the Gotham font family famed for use in Barack Obama's 2008 campaign. ToadShow secured copyright permission to use Kite Flying by the famous Bribie Island painter Ian Fairweather for cover art.
"It is an abstract artwork capturing the free-flowing adventures and childhood associations of flying a kite, which calls us to focus on the young adults, those in their final years of schooling, who experience senior assessment and seek entry to tertiary institutions now and into the future." - according to Redesigning the secondary-tertiary interface.
