Kits are classrooms in boxes, self-contained packages to take you from novice to expert.
Kit components always include print materials, and often stationery products. Sometimes they have multimedia materials with embedded links to supporting materials on the web.
They combine many graphic design products, typically folders, workbooks, brochures, A4 infosheets and sometimes maps and paper engineering.
Very few designers do these large, complicated, multi-faceted projects because the risk for the inexperienced is very high. Even highly-skilled and experienced designers find kits demanding, requiring tight focus and attention to detail.
Often involving die-cutting and other arcane printing processes, the challenge is very rewarding to the designer and the product always rewarding for the client.
