In 2008 ToadShow worked closely with the RSL Ashgrove Sub-Branch on a memorial for the 61st Battalion, Queensland Cameron Highlanders. We helped to create a memorial site in keeping with the local Ashgrovian architectural style.
RSL Ashgrove Sub-Branch President Austin Hogan, arranged for a disused historic bus shelter to be moved into Stewart Place. It was then repurposed as the memorial site. ToadShow designed 12 interpretive panels detailing the history of the 61st Battalion and their role in the Battle of Milne Bay. The panels feature the Cameron tartan.
Installation of the interpretive panels had to occur after Remembrance Day on 11 November and before the opening on 15 November. That left only a 3-day window for the installation. ToadShow completed the installation with two days to spare.
