The RACQ's Mobile Business Centre is a purpose-built, fully self-contained “RACQ branch on wheels”.
The customised semi-trailer has its own water supply, a high-speed satellite communications system, the ability to generate its own electricity, and contains a fully equipped office complete with computerised workstations linked directly to RACQ’s headquarters in Brisbane.
ToadShow’s relationship with the RACQ began in 2005 with the organisation’s centenary exhibition Bulldust to Bitumen... and Beyond. ToadShow’s multimedia department developed 35 touch-screen accessed short documentaries covering the many aspects of the RACQ’s 100 year history, as well as a ten minute high-definition “feature-AV” which played in a custom-built theatrette.

ToadShow’s Director of Multimedia, David Pyle, re-edited the Bulldust to Bitumen... and Beyond feature-AV to include RACQ advertisements and announcements, and managed the hardware support for its display - two flatscreen monitors mounted to the display trailer.
Working together with ToadShow designer Rick Caskey, David also created the multimedia interface for five interactive kiosk terminals which allows the RACQ to deliver flash based games and audio visuals plus additional content served directly from the RACQ's online corporate website.
The Mobile Business Centre is primarily for use in disaster areas, however, it can also be deployed for other purposes including trade shows, promotional events, and where an existing office is made unavailable for any reason.
